Welcome to The Annotated Nurse. By creating an account or using our platform you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. You are responsible for providing accurate information at sign-up, maintaining the security of your password, and all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Subscription & billing

• Membership is billed at $19.97 per month through our payment processor (Stripe) until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; the current billing period is not pro-rated.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply to the next renewal.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) share your account credentials, (b) resell or republish our content outside the platform, (c) upload unlawful, harassing, or infringing material, (d) attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or probe the platform for vulnerabilities without written authorization.

4. Your content

Notebooks, flashcards, and other content you create remain yours. By uploading to the community Bookstore, you grant other members the right to add a copy to their personal library. You may remove your Bookstore listings at any time; existing copies in other users' libraries remain in those libraries.

5. Educational disclaimer

The Annotated Nurse is a study aid for nursing students. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for official curriculum, NCLEX testing materials, licensed instructors, or clinical judgment. Always defer to your program, preceptors, and institutional policies.

6. Intellectual property

The platform, branding, AI prompts, archetype engine, and curated educational material are owned by The Annotated Nurse or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them outside the permissions granted in these Terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to other users. Your data is retained until you request deletion or your account is closed.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
